We are a small school where children come first.

Welcome to Didbrook Primary School

WE ARE A VILLAGE SCHOOL BEAUTIFULLY LOCATED ON THE EDGE OF THE COTSWOLDS

WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE!

We are a small and friendly school with under 40 pupils. We are very family orientated, and some of our pupils boast parents and grandparents who attended the school. We have young go-ahead teaching staff and benefit from the latest in teaching equipment, including computer-linked 'interactive whiteboards' in both Infant and Junior classrooms.

Our premises have been completely revamped over the last few years, and we can now offer two modern classrooms, a separate hall, and (for the first time!) internal toilet facilities.

We believe in offering our pupils as broad an education as possible and, without losing emphasis on the 3 'r's and science, we have recently introduced languages and more music and computer studies into the day. French is taught to both Infants and Juniors by a qualified specialist teacher; tuition in clarinet, saxophone, oboe, flute, keyboard/piano, guitar and recorder is also available. And our Headteacher is whizz kid on the computer!

We believe that education is also about broadening general experience; thus we encourage visits to school by outside theatre and creative groups, and offer pupils various trips off-site, including the annual 'week away' for the 10-11 year olds, and an overnight trip for Years 3 and 4.

The School is situated amongst rolling countryside in the village of Didbrook, just a few miles from Winchcombe.
We have a Playground adjacent to the School buildings, and our Playing Fields are situated on the other side of the small country lane.

Our pupils are drawn from the many local villages, from Winchcombe, and from even further afield. They arrive on foot, by bicycle and car, and some are entitled to transportation paid for by the Local Authority.

Nearby Stanway House is just one of many educational resources available to the school, and Lord Neidpath, its owner, is one of the school governors.
